Question: I do not understand the Ah rating. Please explain.

 

Answer: The ampere-hour (Ah) rating defines the capacity of a battery. A typical battery that is rated as a 100Ah battery at the 10 hour rate of discharge is capable of delivering 10A for 10 hours before the terminal voltage drops to a standard value such as 1.67 volts per cell, or 10.02 volts for a 12V battery. Similarly, a 50Ah battery would supply a 5A load for 10 hours. The BP1000 battery is rated at 42Ah, so it can furnish 4.2A for 10 hours.

 

Question: What's the basic difference between a car battery and your golf  trolley gel batteries.

 

Answer: The standard car batteries have liquid acid in them and the gel golf trolley batteries are solid state gel and sealed. This is due to the conditions in which they are used out on the golf course. Golf trolley batteries are safer to transport than standard acid batteries.

 

Question: Are positive batteries able to test a battery to so if it has a fault

 

Answer: Yes, at positive batteries we hold battery testing equipment which reports on the current condition of the connected battery. If you are un sure if you have a problem with your battery please contact the battery shop and the staff will assist you.
